Some therapists achieve significantly better outcomes than their peers, even using the same model. Dr Barry Duncan and his associates have spent decades researching therapeutic change, having had access to a huge database of clinical results. Through a degree of detective work they have established which factors contribute to superior performance in therapy – and it is not what you might first think.

Join Barry in this workshop where he shares his journey and findings, and describes some of the things you can do immediately to improve the chances of being in the 'Super-therapist' category. Barry will also introduce the principles behind the Partners for Change Outcome Management System (PCOMS) that identifies the early indicators of clients who are not responding. The system has been successfully implemented across the USA and Canada, and is used in 20 other countries around the world. It is included in the US National Registry of Evidence-Based Programs and Practices.

This workshop is suitable for all health professionals including clinical and counselling psychologists, doctors, counsellors, social workers, general and mental health nurses and CBT practitioners.

This workshop will be held at St Anne’s College, Oxford University, 56 Woodstock Rd, Oxford, OX2 6HS
